Perry S. Stamp, age 96, of Newark, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on August 2, 1927, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of Ernest and Winifred (St. John) Stamp.
Perry proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and eventually retired on July 31, 1975, after 30 years of service with the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Heath Christ United Methodist Church.
Perry is survived by his loving wife, Pauline (Bagent) Stamp, whom he married on February 4, 1989, his children, Ernest Stamp of Stigler, Oklahoma, Perry Stamp Jr. of Stigler, Oklahoma and Angela (Doug) Kinney of Heath, eight grandchildren, Elena (Patrick) Wiley, Billy (Valerie) Stamp, Christina (Peter) Kent, Marcus (Nicole) Stamp, Clinton Stamp, Sarah Simec, Trevor (Kayla Haviland) Valdez and Nichole (Troy Adam Ryan) Valdez, twelve great grandchildren, Erin Stamp, James Villasenor, Corbin David and Blakelee Stamp, Morgan Marie and Rylie Kent, Mason and McKenzie Stamp, AJ Simec, Conner Valdez, Colton Adam Ryan, Elizabeth Nichole Ryan.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Clinton Richard Stamp, a daughter, Brenda Stamp, and a brother.
The family will hold a private graveside service in Bell Church Cemetery. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Perry S. Stamp.
