MOUNT VERNON — Eleven people received felony sentences in April in Knox County Common Pleas Court.

Three sentenced on April 4 

  • Todd Rhinebolt, of Fredericktown, was sentenced to a definite prison term of 30 months and given 70 days served on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction.
  • Shannon Jesser, of Bladensburg, was sentenced to two years of community control for an aggravated possession of drugs conviction.
  • Shane Fitzpatrick, of Columbus, was sentenced to one year of community control for driving while intoxicated, possession of cocaine and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle convictions.

Three sentenced on April 11

  • Mark Preece, of Fredericktown, was sentenced to an indefinite prison term of four years with a maximum term of six years on an aggravated trafficking in drugs conviction. Also serve a definite 30-month prison term on a forfeiture specification conviction for the aggravated trafficking in drugs charge–to be served concurrently. Preece was given 142 days served toward his sentence.
  • Donald Kennedy Jr., of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to an 11-month prison term on a theft conviction and to be served consecutively with case No. 23CR10-0264 but concurrently with the sentence imposed in Knox Common Pleas Court case No.24CR03-0037. Kennedy was given credit for zero days served toward his sentence.
  • Kennedy Jr. was sentenced to a definite 11-month prison sentence on a receiving stolen property conviction. Kennedy was to serve the sentence consecutively with case No. 23CR09-0240 but concurrently with the sentence imposed in case No. 24CR03-0037. Kennedy was given credit for 91 days served toward his sentence.
  • Kennedy Jr. was sentenced to a definite 11-month prison term on a possession of a fentanyl-related compound conviction, to be served concurrently with Case No’s. 23CR09-0240 and 23CR10-0264. Kennedy was given credit for 31 days served toward his sentence.
  • Tyler Krumlauf, of Ashley, was sentenced to two years of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction.

Five sentenced on April 25

  • Thomas Ferrell, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to one year of community control for a possession conviction.
  • Courtney Johnson, of Granville, was sentenced to two years of community control for an attempt, a fourth-degree felony, conviction.
  • Scott Greene, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to an 11-month definite prison term on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction to be served concurrently with the sentence in Greene’s case No. 24CR01-0008. Greene was credited 133 days served toward his sentence, in this case. No. 24CR01-0008, Greene was sentenced to a 30-month definite prison term for an aggravated possession of drugs conviction. The sentence will be served concurrently with the sentence imposed in case No. 23CR10-0258. Greene was given credit for 100 days served toward his sentence.
  • Tiffany Kennedy, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on a permitting drug abuse conviction.
  • Derek Bennett was sentenced to a 17-month definite prison term on a gross sexual imposition conviction and to be served consecutively with the sentence imposed in Muskingum County Court of Common Pleas case No. CR2023-0516. Bennett was credited 134 days served toward his sentence. Bennett was determined to be a Tier One sex offender/child victim offender registrant.
