Lillian L. Crowe, 81, of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday evening, April 24, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 10, 1942 in Connersville, Indiana to the late Lawrence and Louise (Shockley) Scanlon.
Lillian was the former co-owner and operator of Tangles in Mount Vernon and she also worked at G.R. Smith’s Hardware in Mount Vernon. She was a member of Christ the King Community Church near Fredericktown. Lillian’s greatest love was spending time with her family.
Lillian is survived by her children, Markettys (Keith) Dailey of Newark, Tim (Rhonda) Crowe of Mansfield and Jeff (Brandie) Crowe of Mount Vernon; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and a special sister-in-law, Carolyn Ruhl of Fredericktown.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Warner E. “Gene” Crowe on March 17, 2017; grandchildren, Miah Crowe and David Crowe.
A memorial service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Christ the King Community Church, 15598 McClelland Rd., Fredericktown with Rev. Dr. Lucian Baker officiating. The family will observe a private burial at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
