Sheila Jane Beck, age 79, of Fredericktown passed away at her home on Monday, April 15, 2024, with her loving family at her side.
She was born on April 11, 1945, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Paul and Mary (Winand) Jewell. Sheila was a teacher in the Northmor School District for over 38 years. She was a proud member of the Morrow County Retired Teachers Association, the Morrow County Cattlemen’s Association, and the Waterford Church of Christ. She enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher for over 60 years and a 4-H Advisor for over 15 years. But most of all, she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending their sporting events whenever she could.
She is survived by her daughters, Jamie (Mike) Crowe, Jessica (James) Anderson; her son Jimmy (Rosalind) Beck; five grandchildren, Richard, Andrew, Tyler, Jordan and Jeremiah; four great grandchildren, Ryder, Lillian, Waylon, and Dean; and her brother Jim (Linda) Jewell.
In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her husband W. Dean Beck.
Friends may call on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Waterford Church of Christ from 12-1pm. A service will follow, beginning at 1pm, with Pastor Joel Cassetto officiating. Sheila was privately buried at North Fork Cemetery.
