MOUNT VERNON — Rodney Newell of Croton will present on “The Early History and Growth of Hartford Township in Licking County, Ohio,” at the April 3 meeting of the Knox County Historical Society.
The meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will be at the museum, 875 Harcourt Road in Mount Vernon.
Visitors may view the many museum exhibits before and after the meeting.
Newell is a long-time resident of Hartford Township. He has a BA in psychology and history and retired after a 33-year career in the Army Medical Corps. He enjoys researching and writing about local history.
The meeting is free and open to the public, and all persons interested in area history are invited to attend. For more information, call the museum at 740-393-5247.
The museum is currently open to visitors on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and by special appointment.
