MOUNT VERNON – The City of Mount Vernon and Delaware Knox Marion Morrow Solid Waste District (DKMM) are partnering Saturday March 30 for a scrap tire recycling event.

This is for Knox County residents only.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or until dumpsters are at max capacity, according to officials.

The event details are:

  • Cash or check Only
  • Drop off is at 1700 Old Delaware Road, Mount Vernon
  • Maximum 10 tires per vehicle
  • First four tires are free; $1.50 per additional tire
  • No agricultural or semi tires
  • Standard passenger vehicle tires only
  • No rims or tubes accepted
