Gerard “Jerry” J. Lemay, age 68, of Utica, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 31, 1955, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Gerard T. and Gloria M. (Spiller) Lemay.
Jerry graduated from Crooksville High School. He also went to Muskingum Technical School, Central Ohio Technical College and Columbus State Community College. He proudly served as a union steward while employed at 3M in Columbus. He was a member of the Green Valley Southern Baptist Church. He was a devoted Christian and loved being around his church family. He faithfully served the Lord at Utica Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed antique cars, remodeling his home and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted Buckeye fan and rarely missed cheering on his team.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Denise (Sharp) Lemay ; his sons, Jim (Cherity) Lemay, Shawn (Shelly) Lemay, Brandon Lemay; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; mother, Gloria M. Jackson, mother and father-in-law, Bessie and Jimmie Sharp, sisters, Donna Mills, Sandra (Larry) Hurford, Pam (Jack) Clark; sister-in-law, Dois Sharp, brother-in-law, Brian Sharp, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerard Lemay, brother-in- law, Roger Mills, and sister-in-law, Melissa (Missy) Sharp.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sat., April 6, 2024, at 11:00 am at Green Valley Southern Baptist Church located at 1680 Old Delaware Rd. (SR 229), Mount Vernon, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jerry’s memory to Green Valley Southern Baptist Church or Hospice of Central Ohio.
