David (Dave) Mark Diehl was born February 27, 1964, to the late Clyde (Skip) and Eileen (Harmon) Diehl. Dave passed away on Saturday March 16, 2024, peacefully with his family by his side. Dave fought a hard 23-month battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme. Dave fought with courage and positivity until the end.
Dave was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He cherished every minute he could spend with his family. Dave enjoyed deer and turkey hunting with his brother Jeff and daughter Alanna, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and most of all playing hot wheels and monster trucks with his grandsons Cash and Waylon.
Dave was a collision repair technician by trade. He spent over 20 years working for Mateer Ford. Dave was most recently employed by Fredericktown Chevrolet Collision Repair.
Dave married Patricia Twigg on July 2, 1999, after 13 years of being together. They are the proud parents of Jacob A Morningstar (Ashley Kean) and Alanna Diehl, grandchildren Lyndsey, Talan, and Grayson Morningstar; Cash and Waylon March and JC Hoar. Great Granddaughter Everest Hayes.
Dave is also survived by his mother-in-law Helen Twigg, sisters Linda (Dave) Doup, Marilyn (Ed) Miletic, Carolyn (John) Conkle and Mary Richards (Tim O’Rouke). Sisters in laws Carol (John) Mann, Debora Twigg-Tyson, Pam (Bud) Bennett, Lauri (Blake) Delgouffre, Misty (Jerimy) Kollas, Angie Diehl, and Judy Diehl. Brother-in-law Brice D (Caroline) Twigg. Nieces and Nephews Eric (Kami) Diehl, Amy (Brian)Quackenbush, Jenny (Eric) Briley, Angie ( Matt Bridges) McClary, Kelly Peters, Brian (Kathleen) Miletic, Melissa (Bryan) Donaldson, Joe (Miranda) Conkle, Tracy (Chris) Flack, Jason (Davinia) Diehl, Janet (Stacey) Tharp, Colleen (Justin) Burrier, Brandi (James Rottaman) Twigg, Staci (Frank) Schenider, Jodi Bennett, Hether A McVay, Timothy (Amy) Tyson, Joe Lange, Danny Lange, Charlie (Vivienne) Twigg, Gregory (Dominque) Twigg, Brice T Twigg, Bailey (Mike) Rush, Ally Jenkins and 50 great nieces and nephews. Dave has also left many close friends behind to cherish his memory.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Larry and Jeffrey Diehl, father-in-law Brice L Twigg, and brother-in-law Roger Twigg.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to Ohio State Neuro Oncology, Hospice of North Central Ohio, and Thom Fowler of Liberty Chapel Methodist Church.
The family will be observing a private graveside service at Bird Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life in memory of Dave Diehl on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 4-8pm at the Fredericktown Nature Center; 12 Mill St, Fredericktown, OH 43019.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Chapel Methodist Church.
