MANSFIELD — Snow Trails, Ohio’s premier resort for skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing is pleased to extend the winter season with two consecutive weekends packed with excitement on the slopes.
Starting this weekend, Saturday, March 2 through Sunday March 3 the resort invites skiers and boarders to participate in its Slopestyle freestyle competition and a Mini Big Air event.
The following weekend, March 9 through 10, Snow Trails will end the season with more on-snow racing events, a Slush Cup and the official End-of-Season Party.
“Our snowmaking team continues to take advantage of every window of opportunity to maintain snow coverage on all slopes and keep the on-snow fun going,” said Nate Wolleson, Marketing Manager for Snow Trails.
“We are thankful for snowmaking to keep offering our guests two more weekends of outdoor events and activities to enjoy with family and friends.”

As of now, Snow Trails has Lift Ticket Bookings available for skiing and snowboarding, plus Reservations available for Snow Tubing, to include Glow Tubing.
Advanced Bookings online are required for all activities. Walk-ups are unavailable.

SATURDAY, MARCH 2
Slopestyle
Freestyle skiers and boarders are invited to show off their Rail and Jump tricks on the Rustler Jump Line. Amateur and Pro divisions can vie for cash and gear prizes. Competition begins at 1 p.m. $10 entry. Lift Ticket required.
SUNDAY, MARCH 3
Mini Big Air
The Mini Big Air is back and offers a chance for the younger kids to test their skills on the Terrain Park in a fun and inviting atmosphere.
The competition takes place at the Possum Slope and there are two ages groups: 8 and under and 9-12. Competition begins at 2 p.m. $5 entry. Lift Ticket required.
SATURDAY, MARCH 9
Skier/Boarder Cross
This adrenaline pumping downhill motocross style event is open to all skiers and boarders. Racers will compete five and six at a time on a downhill course filled with berms, jumps and rollers at Timberline Trail.
The race begins at 1 p.m. There will be two divisions for each age group including: 14 & Under, 15-39 and 40 & Over. Medals & prizes awarded. $10 entry. Lift Ticket required.
End Of Season Party
Snow Trails will end the 2023/2024 ski season with live entertainment from the Thirsty Travelers in The Snowflake Loft at 9 p.m. Tickets are available online now and are expected to sell-out.
SUNDAY, MARCH 10
Slush Cup
The popular Slush Cup race is back. Skiers and boarders are invited to don their best beach attire and luau themed costumes for this fun event. Spectators are welcome to watch as competitors skim their way from snow to icy pool.
Event takes place at the base of Competition Trail at 1 p.m. There are two divisions including: 14 & Under and 15 and Over. Awards given out for fastest time and best costume. $10 entry. Lift Ticket required.
Snow Trails
Snow Trails, which was the first commercial ski area in Ohio, is a privately-owned resort, under the same management since inception.
The resort features six chairlifts, including a slow-moving Beginner’s Double Chairlift and two ski carpets dedicated to the Beginner’s Area.
A third carpet lift is utilized for the Snow Tubing Park with the “Longest Tubing Lanes in Ohio.”
The Resort offers 21 total trails and is known for Timberline trail – “Longest Trail in Ohio.” There are three glade areas, plus five Terrain Parks.
A 9,000 square-foot rental center houses user-friendly equipment and offers a self-service system.
Snow Trails typically opens in early December and the season lasts into March. The resort is located off Interstate 71 south of Mansfield on Possum Run Road.
