Letter to the Editor in purple lettering on envelope

Dear Editor,

The anti solar crowd are ignoring the devastating effects of carbon pollution and the urgent need for clean energy. There’s no comparison between what fossil fuels  do to the Earth and how beneficial solar and wind power can be.

Of course much needs to be improved, but we can’t expect progress to be made if clean alternatives to the carbon dioxide-spewing fossil fuels are banned.

Right now solar fields are providing enormous amounts of electricity to thousands of homes and businesses. Cattle and other animals graze beneath windmills. Farmers have choices. Clean sources slow our headlong rush to annihilation caused by greed and destruction of competition.

We are smart as a nation. We can consider all sides, honestly and fully, and work together to be stewards of the Earth.
