James “Mike” Ackerman, 59, of Bellville passed away on February 12, 2024 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1964 to Leroy and Patricia (Spayde) Ackerman in Mount Gilead, OH.
Mike was employed by Olen Corporation, a division of Kokosing Construction in Fredericktown, OH. One of Mike’s hobbies was being a HAM radio operator and also enjoyed talking on his CB radio. Mike enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was an excellent mechanic and loved restoring vehicles.
Mike is survived by his wife Teresa (Thomas) Ackerman; his children Sara and Cody Ackerman both of Bellville, OH; a brother Verne Ackerman of Bellville, OH two sisters Kara (Terry) Kick of Lexington, OH and Lorie Baker of Bellville, OH; many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Ackerman and Patrica Ackerman – Gearhart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mike’s memory to his family at the celebration of life.
The family will be observing private graveside services at North Fork Cemetery. A public celebration of life will be held on Saturday, 12:00pm, February 24, 2024 at the Kokosing Training Center, 125 Mount Vernon Avenue, Fredericktown, OH 43019.
