Paulette L. (Davis) Harrod, age 83, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon. She was born on April 3, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Garnet (Reynolds) Davis. Paulette loved working as a Medical Assistant for Fredericktown Family Practice and previously as an Activities Director at Northside Manor Nursing Home. She was happiest when she was able to care for and give to others.
Paulette was a member of the Brandon Baptist Church. She loved hot air balloons and took a ride in one for her 50th birthday. Her greatest passion and joy was being a Gma, Gigi and mom.
She is survived by her two sons, Bradley (Jane) Harrod of Mount Vernon, Timothy (Jen) Harrod-Davis of Alpharetta, Georgia and daughter Bobbie (Jeff) Harrod-Charles of Toledo; eight grandchildren, Marshall (Lara Pham) Leaman, Abraham (Laura) Harrod, Benjamin (Abby) Harrod, Taylor Leaman, Zachary (Caitlin) Harrod, Graham Hughes, Avery and Ryla Harrod-Davis; six great grandchildren, Lydia, Ty, Renee, Samson, Kendall and Emma Harrod; and long time friend Iva Berry.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister and best friend, Sylvia Sparks.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Brandon Baptist Church, 13513 Sycamore Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Paulette L. Harrod.
