John F. Lyon, 61, of Fredericktown passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at his home. He was born on December 26, 1962 in Mount Vernon to the late Sally Jo (Zimmerman) Lyon Morrison.
John enjoyed fishing, surfing the web, and spending time with his neighbors. He was a connoisseur of Mountain Dew. John was a self-proclaimed Master Chef when it came to barbecues. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Mount Vernon.
John is survived by his sister, Stacey (Mark) Weyhmiller of Bellville; brother, Mike (Tammy) Morrison of Tampa, FL; aunts, Linda Sigman of Hillsboro, OR, Nancy Diehl of Fredericktown and Peggy Hughes of Fredericktown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Morrison and maternal grandparents, Chet and Jean Zimmerman.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
