Paul B. Phillips, 72, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on February 21, 1951, in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Bonner and Jane (Kirby) Phillips.
Paul was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. His favorite pastime was watching his grandkids play sports and taking them fishing.
He was a semi-truck driver for 39 years and enjoyed seeing country during his tenure. He also had a love for Airedales that never ceased.
Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy (Claggett) Phillips, two sons, Shawn (Lyn) Phillips of Conesville, Ohio and Barry (Katie) Phillips of Mt. Gilead; nine grandchildren, Zachariah, Nicholas, Levi, Amelia, Evelyn, Landon, Carter, Brodie, and Brianna; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Nathan Phillips; two sisters, Xantha (Gary) Collins of Lancaster and Phyllis (Steve) Doyle of Danville.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Datha Reed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 2:00 – 3:00PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. Where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM with Mr. Matt Schwartz officiating.
