MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher found 23 people guilty after hearings and court trials were conducted this week at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

These were the cases brought forward by Mount Vernon Law Director P. Robert Broeren Jr.’s Office.

Jan. 16

Joseph Hicks, 42, of Somerset, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under an FRA suspension.

John Worden, 50, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of aggravated menacing.

Cory Griffith, 28, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of failure to stop motor vehicle after an accident.

Tesla Harris, 31, of Zanesville, was found guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Amanda Alexander, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of possession of drug of abuse instruments.

Michael Wantland, 40, of Danville, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Jessie Majors, 44, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of maintaining physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse and operating a motor vehicle while under an OVI suspension.

Bryce Stewart, 31, of Utica, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Jonathon Dooley, 27, of Zanesville, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Nelson Smith, 46, of Cambridge, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Danielle Reynolds, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Sheila Hundley, 30, of Centerburg, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under an FRA suspension and failure to yield.

Michelle Garcia, 36, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with fictitious plates and improperly starting and/or backing a motor vehicle.

John Lowe, 43, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of disorderly conduct in the presence of EMS personnel.

Samantha Arcilla, 31 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.

Kelley Lowe, 41, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under suspension.

Daniel Jandzinski, 59, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without appropriate headlights.

Amanda Gibson, 36, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with expired plates.

Matthew Haun, 51, of New Albany, was found guilty of speeding.

Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted the cases on behalf of the City of Mount
Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and
Gambier.

Jan. 19

Lance Reynolds, 48, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of aggravated menacing and domestic violence.

Jonathan Braddock, 38, of Mount Gilead, was found guilty of physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Christopher Ballard, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under an FRA suspension and required lights.

Daniel Walton, 30, of Danville, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under a failure to reinstate suspension.

First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted the Reynolds case and Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
