Betty J. Lamb-Follett, age 89, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on May 15, 1934, in Fredericktown, Ohio, to the late Hugh and Mabel (Reams) Lamb.
Betty was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church Fredericktown. She was a member of the Ann Hill Chapter #81 Order of the Eastern Star Fredericktown, West Side Club and worked at Fredericktown Primary School and Kokosing Construction. Betty enjoyed card club, bowling, boating, water skiing, golfing and most of all family and friends.
Betty is survived by her children, Diane (Mark) Doup, Michael (Nancy) Follett, Brad (Patty) Follett; grandchildren, Brandy Frahn, Aaron Doup, Nick (Rachel) Doup, Katie (Brent) Cline, Andrew (Chelsea) Follett, Jay (Melissa) Follett; great-grandchildren, Justin Sadler, Matthew Sharrer, Addy Doup, Ruari Doup, Avery Doup, Eira Doup, Ava Cline, Morgan Follett, Natalie Cline, Mason Follett, Miranda and Will Follett; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Gabe and Emberlin Sadler; a sister, Joetta (Tom) Baker; several cousins, nieces and nephews; dear friends, Marsha Rinehart, Greg (Kelly) Rinehart, Geoffrey (Sarah) Rinehart.
Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her first husband, Julius “Ed” Hatton, second husband, Dr. Charles Williard “Bill” Follett; a son Dave (Kathy) Hatton; a brother, Dick (Shirley) Lamb; and dear friend, Dean Rinehart.
Family will receive friends from 11-1:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the First Baptist Church Fredericktown, 22 E. Sandusky Street, Fredericktown, Ohio, 43019 with Pastor Brian Snow officiating. A burial will follow in Forest Cemetery.
