H. Michael Wojtseck, age 76, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on May 1, 1947, in Deel, Virginia, the son of Harry and Bessie (Looney) Wojtseck. Mike was a 1965 graduate of Loudonville High School and later graduated from the Andrews Barber School in Columbus, Ohio.
Mike retired in 2010 as a baker for Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mike always enjoyed chatting with friends, antiquing, and telling jokes, but most important, he enjoyed spending time with his family and attending their activities.
He is survived by his wife Betty (Stacy) Wojtseck, whom he married on December 29, 1972, his children, Stephanie Ishmael of Centerburg, Angela Heather (William) Burgess of Mount Vernon and Benjamin (Elizabeth Wood) Wojtseck of Delaware, six grandchildren, Jacob Ishmael, Olivia Ishmael, Wyatt (Karisa) Morrison, Logan Morrison, Kiara Burgess and Ella Mae Wojtseck, two great grandchildren, Lane Morrison, Haisley Morrison, and a brother Terry Wojtseck of Loudonville.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Wojtseck.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the at the Church at Chapel Hill, 7530 Johnstown Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
