MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher found 18 people guilty after hearings were conducted this week at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

These were the cases brought forward by Mount Vernon Law Director P. Robert Broeren Jr.’s Office.

Dec. 18

Hunter Durbin, 20, of Danville, was found guilty of theft by deception.

Andrew Collins, 20, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of obstructing official business.

Rondel Brady, 26, of Danville, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.

William Mahaffey, 33, of Pickerington, was found guilty of violating a protection order.

Law Director Rob Broeren prosecuted the Durbin case and First Assistant Law Director
Brittany Whitney prosecuted all the other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon,
the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier
.

Dec. 19

Eric Webber, 40, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of assault and aggravated menacing.

Joshua Bennington, 33, of Bladensburg, was found guilty of obstructing official business, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drug of abuse.

Carley Ash, 31, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of possessing drug abuse instruments.

Elizabeth Greig, 33, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of abandoning animals and failing to confine dog.

Stephen Wheeler, 36, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under an OVI/ALS suspension.

Robin Elliott, 48, of Newark, was found guilty of speeding.

Harold Baker, 35, of Frankfort, was found guilty of speeding.

Steven Corzine, 23, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating an unsafe vehicle and not wearing a seatbelt.

Nickolas Cutlip, 25, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under an FRA suspension.

Bruce Creager, 56, of Johnstown, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with expired plates.

Jessica Chapman, 43, of Ontario, was found guilty of speeding.

Brenne Worthington, 18, of Galion, was found guilty of speeding.

Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted the cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.

Dec. 20

Eva Graham, 42, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under a suspension.

Ron Tynes, 49, of Columbus, was found guilty of operating a truck off a state route.

First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted all the other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
