Prentiss “Jason” Hankins, age 53, passed away at his home on Friday, December 1, 2023, with his loving family at his side.
Jason was born on September 30, 1970, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Prentiss and Carolyn (Hatten) Hankins. Jason had a life-long career as an Auto Body Technician and Painter. He enjoyed nature. Whether it was fishing, hunting, sitting around a fire listening to music or appreciating flowers and a beautiful landscape, he loved spending time outdoors. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and always being present for his close friends.
He is survived by his wife Denise (Beach) Hankins; his son Patrick Strunk and stepson Zachary Brammer; his brothers Geoffrey Hatten, Robert Denig; his sister Ginah (Chris) Shaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Jason’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours. The family will observe a private gathering and service at a later date.
