Denzal Myers Koppert, age 94, of Fredericktown went to meet his Lord on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus with his loving wife Sandra by his side.
He was born on December 22, 1928, in Nunda, Ohio to the late Ivan and Orpha (Reed) Koppert. Denzal served in the Army National Guard for nine years and retired from the Flxible Company after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Jelloway Methodist Church. Denzal enjoyed attending car shows, parades, and fairs. But most of all Denzal loved the time he spent with his family and close friends.
He is survived by his wife, of over 58 years, Sandra (Snyder) Koppert; his brother Eldon Koppert; many nieces and nephews; and his feline companion Smokey.
In addition to his parents, Denzal was preceded in death by his sister Dorma Stamen; his brother Duane Koppert and other family members.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 11-12pm at the Jelloway Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow beginning at 12pm with Pastor Ruth Douglas officiating. Burial will take place in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jelloway Methodist Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
