Merle K. Doyle, 92, of Fredericktown passed away on Wednesday evening, November 22, 2023 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home. He was born on March 11, 1931, in Fredericktown to the late James A. “Alfred” and Isora (Young) Doyle.
Merle was a 1949 graduate of Fredericktown High School where he was a talented athlete. He was selected to the 1949 Associated Press All-Ohio Basketball team. In addition, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 65 years and the Palmyra Church of Christ.
Merle is survived by his wife of 73 years, Julia A. (Litt) Doyle; children, Tami Doyle of Westerville and Steve (Phyllis) Doyle of Danville; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will have a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in Forest Cemetery with Evangelist Troy Northrop officiating.
