Zsolt Miklos Csaba, 90, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday morning, November 4, 2023 at his home with Patricia by his side. following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 25, 1933 in Budapest, Hungary to the late Dr. and Mrs. Jozsef and Clara (Hodinka) Csaba.

Zsolt fled Hungary in 1945 during WWII and lived in Bavaria, Germany for 6 years and immigrated to the United State in 1951. He graduated from Central Technical Institute, Kansas City, MO in 1961. He was an Army Veteran and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky in the 11th Armored Calvary and later served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Zsolt retired in May 1996 from the Newark Air Force Base in Newark, home of the Air Force’s metrology lab, inertial guidance, and high-tech weapon systems. He was an avid outdoor sportsman and loved tennis and skiing.

Zsolt is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia A. (Thompson) Csaba; a daughter, Suzanne (Steven) Capitano of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Eric (Karen) Csaba of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexis Capitano; sister, Klare Hidas of Monterey, CA; nephews, Chris (Leisa) Hidas and Tom (Kate) Bekeny; and several cousins.

The family will have a private memorial for Zsolt at a later date.
