James E. Ramsey, age 64, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Knox Community Hospital.

He was born on February 25, 1959, in Warren, Ohio to the late Harry and Shirley A. (Johnston) Ramsey.

He is survived by his children, Jeremy (Mykelle) Ramsey of Warren, Tiffany (Sam) Gerthung of Florida, and Michelle Lanham of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Johnny A. (Marie) Ramsey of Florida; and the grandson he raised, Justin (Taylor) McClanahan.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Ramsey, a son, Mike Seymour, and a brother, Harry “Butch” Ramsey Jr.

The family is observing a private memorial service. The Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel is handling the services for the Ramsey family.
