Louise C. Trinkner, age 94, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 27, 1929, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Frederick and Irene (Cooper) Thomas. Louise was a 1947 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and later attended Denison University. She worked for several years at Cooper Energy Services in Mount Vernon.
Louise was a member of the Town and Country Garden Club, Quilting Club of the Mount Vernon Congregational Church, Mount Vernon Country Club, and several local card clubs. She also served many years as a volunteer Pink Lady for Knox Community Hospital.
Louise is survived by her children, Dr. Thomas (Jennifer) Trinkner of Lexington, South Carolina, Anne (James) Howes of Mount Vernon and Rob (Stacie) Trinkner of Powell, five grandchildren, Ryan Howes, Mandi Blubaugh, Zan Trinkner, Zoe Trinkner, Will Trinkner, four great-grandchildren, Isaac, Tyler, and Lukas Blubaugh and Bella Howes.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Perry “Bud” Trinkner.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2023, beginning at 2 p.m. in Mound View Cemetery. The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Louise C. Trinkner.
