Susan “Sue” Lyle, age 72, of Howard, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family after her long courageous battle with cancer.
Sue is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 53 years, Don Lyle; daughters and son-in-laws, Angie and Garret Marshall and Mindi and Mark Snider; her much loved grandchildren, Ellie, Eric, Katie, and David Snider; sister, Ginny (Brian) Ankrum; nieces, nephews and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Gerhardt, sister, Bobbie Wall, and brother, John Gerhardt.
The most important thing for Sue was her family and she treasured time spent with them.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. Where a celebration of life service will start at 1:00 PM. A luncheon reception will follow the service in the community room.
