Renell Lee Davis, age 70, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Johnstown Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born on March 30, 1953, in Ashville, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Kenneth (Speedy) and Virginia (Beeman) Totman.
Renell lived a selfless life in which she loved deeply and always put others first. Some might say she wore her heart on her sleeve. If you were fortunate to be her family or friend you were “her people” and there was no battle too big for her not to be by your side. She needed to be needed and if you were hurting she was hurting. Don’t be fooled by her tender sensitive side because she wouldn’t always defend herself but she had no filter when coming to the aide of someone she cared about. There is no doubt she will be a loyal angel in heaven as she was a caregiver on earth.
Renell is survived by her husband, William B. Davis, son, Scott (Candance) Davis of Dover, Delaware, daughter, Anastasia Hyde of Maryland, sisters, Kim (Steve) Auker and Colleen Milligan, sister cousin Melanie Poole all of Mount Vernon, known lovingly as “Aunt Nell” to nephews, Michael Bond and Robert (Monique) Milligan both of Mount Vernon, Jay (Sarah) Poole, Niece Danielle (Jim) Mcdonald, great nieces Madalynn Bond and Lyndsay Bond.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth (Speedy) and Virginia Totman, brother Douglas Totman, brother in law Robert Milligan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ruth Douglas officiating.
