Kimber Clyde Turner, age 71, of New Albany, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.
He was born on December 12, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska to Clyde and Donna Marie (Morris) Turner. Kimber was employed as a pilot for DHL Airways for nearly 30 years. He most recently was a flight instructor for Flight Safety. He attended the Rio Vista Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Kimber enjoyed playing golf and gin at Worthington Hills Country Club where he was a member for over 15 years. He also enjoyed gambling, writing, and gaming blogs. But most of all, Kimber loved the time he spent with his family and close friends.
Kimber was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force from 1971-1974.
He is survived by his wife Kathy (Phillips) Turner; his daughter Tecca (Rommel) Obligacion; his mother Donna Marie Turner; four grandchildren, Michael (Hannah) Sneary, Emerson Dunbar, Curtis “Lem” Sheets, Bennett Dunbar; and his brothers Darcy Turner and Dudley (Lori) Turner.
Kimber was preceded in death by his father Clyde Turner and his daughter Leah Dunbar.
Friends may call on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 11-1pm at the Snyder Funeral Home (33 E. College St. Fredericktown, OH 43019). A service will follow, beginning at 1pm with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. After the service, burial, with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veteran’s Council, will take place at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
