MOUNT VERNON — Well-paying jobs that are in demand in Ohio are going unfilled, according to administrators at the Knox County Career Center and the Knox Technical Center.
A free webinar to provide teenagers and parents with more information about how to gain the skills for 21st-century career options is scheduled for Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
Representatives of the Ohio Technical Centers and web-based At The Core will discuss educational opportunities after high school in a wide variety of fields, including healthcare, computers, culinary, welding, HVAC, automation and more.
According to its website, At The Core was founded in 2012 “to empower students with knowledge and tools as they prepare to make the very important decisions that surround their transition from high school to their future.”
The Knox Technical Center is located at 308 Martinsburg Road in Mount Vernon.
