MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher found 25 people guilty after hearings and court trials were conducted this week at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.
These were the cases brought forward by Mount Vernon Law Director P. Robert Broeren, Jr.’s Office.
Oct. 2
Clayton Hall, 51, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Miranda Steenburgh, 26, of Gahanna, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Briana Davis, 28, of Shelby, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Sherie Updike, 63, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of having physical control of a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Yauheni Chyzhyk, 36, of Chicago, Illinois, was found guilty of a permit violation.
First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted these cases on behalf of the
City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville,
Fredericktown and Gambier.
Oct. 3
Carol Gallagher, 39, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of domestic violence.
Nicholas Pigg, 27, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of possession of drug abuse instruments.
Calvin Boysaw, 60, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.
William Green, 75, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.
Mason Stephens, 19, of Thornville, was found guilty of speeding.
Rachel Goeppinger, 29, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of speeding.
Moran Matthew, 20, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty driving in violation of his temporary permit restrictions: driving without a valid licensed driver.
First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted the Gallagher case on behalf
of the City of Mount Vernon.
Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Oct. 4
Megan Alexander, 46 of Marion, was found guilty of failure to file sales tax.
Terry Sowers, 53 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of having an open container in a prohibited area.
Logan Hammons, 37 of Brinkhaven, was found guilty of driving under suspension.
Cory Hensley, 27 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving in violation of his
temporary permit restrictions: driving without a valid licensed driver.
Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted these cases on behalf of the City of Mount
Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and
Gambier.
Oct. 6
Kelly Hoffer, 34, of Butler, was found guilty of improper passing, and driving under suspension.
Darrell Satterfield, 21, of Newark, was found guilty of possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia and driving under a license forfeiture suspension.
Jared Farabaugh, 31, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of disorderly conduct, theft, and criminal mischief.
Louis Cook, 50, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of having an open container in a prohibited area.
Isaiah Lentz, 21, of North Lawrence, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse, failure to use reasonable control and leaving the scene of an accident.
Khaled Al Rousan, 57, of Willoughby, was found guilty of speeding.
Mark Hagan, 43, of Newark, was found guilty of driving under an FRA suspension.
Nathan Bertman, 20, of Chagrin Falls, was found guilty of speeding.
Ashiton Hays, 19, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.
Benjamim Torreso, 25, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving in violation of his temporary permit restrictions: driving without a valid licensed driver.
