MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher found 32 people guilty after hearings and court trials were conducted this week at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.
These were the cases brought forward by Mount Vernon Law Director P. Robert Broeren, Jr.’s Office.
Sept. 25
Brian Baker, 40, of Butler, was found guilty of possession of marihuana and driving under suspension.
Harlen Shelhorn, 32, of Howard, was found guilty of driving without an operator’s license.
Ariel Kell, 27, of Mansfield, was found guilty of speeding and driving under a license forfeiture suspension.
John Sowders, 71, of Mansfield, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.
Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted these cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Sept. 26
Ryan Dewitt, 33, of Mansfield, was found guilty of theft by deception.
Tyler La Valley, 24, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of domestic violence and aggravated menacing.
Jarred Baldwin, 30, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of criminal trespassing.
Brittany Armstrong, 25, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of a subsequent offense of failing to confine her dog.
Bryan Pruitt, 32, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of theft by deception and driving under an FRA suspension.
Emily Bricker, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of obstructing official business.
Jesse Gill, 28, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under an OVI suspension.
Mysaiah Bray, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of driving under a 12-point suspension.
Katrina Wintz, 45, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving without an operator’s license.
Matthew Moran, 20, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of failure to stop after an accident and operating a vehicle with a temporary permit and no licensed passenger.
Rose Johnson, 62, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.
Carson Minton, 18, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding in a school zone.
Timmy Skaggs, 59, of Newark, was found guilty of speeding.
Amy Blubaugh, 47, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.
Judith Daniels, 74, of Greenville, SC, was found guilty of speeding in a school zone.
Nelson Lyons, 79, of Newark, was found guilty of speeding in a school zone.
First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted the La Valley and Bray cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon and State of Ohio.
Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Sept. 27
Sean Wible, 34, of Danville, was found guilty of failure to stop after an accident.
Mark Rapp, 28, of Gambier, was found guilty of speeding and driving under an FRA
suspension.
Emilio Dominguez, 28, of Howard, was found guilty of failure to stop for a school bus.

John Spears Jr., 54, of Newark, was found guilty of driving without an operator’s license.
Fredi Lemus Orellana, 36, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving with an expired
operator’s license.
Kevin Benson, 59, of Utica, was found guilty of speeding.
Alexis Angle, 21, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of failure to use reasonable control.
Tom Shaw, 79, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.
Sean Hicks, 26, of Zanesville, was found guilty of speeding in a school zone.
Paul Rhodes, 40, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a vehicle with a temporary permit and no licensed passenger.
Troy Vanhorn, 42, of Cardington, was found guilty of speeding in a school zone.
Adelle Hoar, 18, of Howard, was found guilty of failure to use reasonable control.
