Kathleen Kerrigan, age 60, of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.
She was born on September 20, 1962, in McKeesport, PA to the late Raymond and Eileen (Roper) Kerrigan Jr. Kathleen went to St. Vincent de Paul School and was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and Mount St. Joseph University and obtained her Master of Nursing degree from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. She was a passionate nurse and loved her profession. She was a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Mt. Carmel Health System. She previously was employed as a nurse at St. Anthony Hospital and also Park Medical Center. Kathleen enjoyed reading, listening to music, and playing the piano. But most of all, she loved the time that she spent with her family and close friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Mallory (Michael Reese) McCormick, Amanda McCormick; her brother Raymond (Karen) Kerrigan; her niece Stephanie (Brent) Pilon; her nephew Michael (Lydia) Kerrigan; great nephews Rowan and Cormac; her best friend Lorrie (Phil) Croswell; her canine companion Lacey; and numerous beloved family and friends.
Friends may call on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 5-7 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, in Mount Vernon, with a Rosary Service beginning at 7 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (303 E. High St. Mount Vernon) with Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
