MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
Sept. 9
— The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted in reference to a burglary in progress at a residence on White Road, Centerburg, Ohio. The complainant advised that a male had broken into their house. The complainant’s husband secured the suspect until Deputies arrived and took him into custody. The suspect was transported to the Knox County Jail.
— A deputy was dispatched to Brush Run Rd. on a report of found property. Complainant stated while cleaning up a property she found a raft belonging to a local camp ground. The complainant requested a report to document the incident. The owner of the raft was notified and it was picked up. Nothing further at this time.
— A deputy responded to the motocross park in Martinsburg to investigate three juveniles that had been left unattended for several hours. The deputy arrived on scene and spoke to the complainant along with the father to the juveniles. Statements were collected and a report made. Nothing further at this time.
— A deputy was dispatched to the area of Granville Road near Blackjack Road on a vehicle crash involving a deer. Statements and information was gathered on-scene and crash report was written.
Sept. 10
— A complainant advised she was scammed for $150.00 and requested a report for documentation.
— Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Ackland Street in reference to a underage person sick from alcohol. The underage person was taken to the hospital and a report was taken for documentation.
— The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Kenyon Campus Safety in reference to a intoxicated female that was unresponsive. EMS transported the female to the Knox Community Hospital. The female was issued a summons in lieu of arrest for underage consumption.
— A complainant called and reported his license plate from his trailer was stolen. A report was taken on the complainant’s behalf and the license plate was entered into L.E.A.D.S. as stolen.
— A complainant advised he had been threatened by a male on multiple occasions and requested a report. This report will be forwarded to the Mount Vernon City Law Director’s Office for review of charges.
— A deputy spoke to the complainant by telephone. The complainant wanted to report that he had noticed that he had some holes in his shop siding that were not there on Sept. 9.
— A welfare check was requested at a Sycamore Rd. address after a friend was unable to make contact with him for two days. Deputies were unable to locate the male at his residence.
— A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Columbus Rd to investigate a disturbance between two neighbors. Both individuals stated that the other was yelling and cussing at the other. A report was taken to document the incident nothing further at this time.
Sept. 11
— A deputy conducted a traffic stop in Gambier, Ohio. The deputy conducted a probable cause search and found marijuana and a loaded handgun on the drivers person. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail.
