MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
Sept. 2
— The complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that they had fell victim to a Publishers Clearing House scam/fraud. A report was filed at the complainants request.
— Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Sparta Road in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation and a report was taken for documentation purposes.
Sept. 3
— A deputy was dispatched to Centerburg High School for a vandalism complaint. Dispatch advised that someone had done a bunch of burnouts and left a large amount of trash in the parking lot. Deputy responded and made contact with the complainant.
Sept. 4
— Deputies observed a male riding a bicycle on the roadway on Harcourt Rd without any operational front headlamps or rear lights. Deputies made contact and the male was identified, showing an active warrant out of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. A search incident to arrest was conducted and drugs were found. The male was transported to the Knox County Jail and a report was completed.
