MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.

Aug. 31

— The complainant called the Sheriffs Office to report that an Unknown Person had applied for unemployment benefits in her name and needed a report for the incident.

— Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of College Park St in Gambier, in reference to a vandalism incident. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation and a report was completed for documentation purposes.

Sept. 1

— The complainant called to report that a new patient had walked away from the facility at Centerburg Pointe without notice.

— Deputies were dispatched to an assault at a gas station on Columbus Rd. in Mount Vernon. Deputies arrived and made contact with one of the involved parties before she was transported to KCH. Deputies were able to follow up with both parties and collect written statements. This report will be forwarded to the City Law Director’s Office for review.
