The first quarter gave Calvert a 14-0 lead over Monroeville.
The Senecas registered a 21-7 advantage at intermission over the Eagles.
Monroeville responded in the third quarter by cutting the margin to 28-21.
Nothing was decided in the fourth quarter, with the Senecas and the Eagles locked in a 28-28 stalemate.
There was no room for doubt as Calvert added to its advantage with a 7-6 margin in the closing period.
Last season, Calvert and Monroeville faced off on Aug. 26, 2022 at Calvert High School.
