MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.

Aug. 18

— Deputies and Medics responded to a Monroe St. address because of a report of an overdose. Once on scene it was determined that the individual had put pills into her mouth but spit them out without swallowing them. The individual was connected with BHP for their services.

Aug. 19

— Deputies arrived at a Biggs Rd. address in an attempt to locate Travis Johnson who had an active warrant for his arrest. Deputies made contact with Travis while he was inside of the residence then placed him under arrest. Travis was transported to the Knox County Jail then released to jail staff.

— A deputy made contact with Thomas Schwab at a N. Catherine St. address while working a call for service. Thomas’ name and date of birth was checked by dispatch and the deputy learned that Thomas had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Morrow County. Thomas was placed under arrest then transported to the Morrow County/Knox County line. Custody was transferred to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Department.

— Deputies were dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a theft incident the occurred in the 25000 block of Millwood Rd. Deputies conducted an investigation and a report was taken for documentation purposes.

— Deputies were dispatched to Sycamore Road on a side by side rollover. Deputies arrived on scene and a statement and pictures were collected. A male was transported to Knox Community Hospital for minor injuries. Nothing further.

Aug. 20

— The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted in reference to individuals that started a fire at the river access in Gambier. Upon making contact with the involved individuals, Deputies found one of the individuals to have an outstanding warrant out of Muskingum County. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the Knox County Jail.

— Deputies were dispatched to the area of Newman Alley and High Alley in Mount Liberty on the report of a disturbance. Once Deputies arrived on scene it was determined that there was a possible domestic violence incident that occurred. Deputies spoke with the parties involved and collected statements. The involved parties were separated and a report was filed which is being reviewed by the Mount Vernon Law Directors Office.

— Deputies were dispatched to Howard-Danville Road near Chapel Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident with injury. Upon arrival Deputies conducted an investigation on the incident. EMS personnel transported the driver of the motor vehicle to Knox Community Hospital to be treated for injuries. A report was taken for documentation purposes.
