Marie Bennett, age 67 of Mount Gilead, Ohio passed away Friday, August 11, 2023.
Marie was born December 25, 1955 in Geneva, New York and was the daughter of Clare and Blanche Crawford. She graduated from Midlakes High School in 1974.
Marie held a special place in our hearts as a loving sister, aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews in our family. Our beloved Christmas baby Marie embodied the spirit of giving through her everyday acts of kindness, determined to show her love by giving each person in the family a Christmas gift.
Marie selflessly used her limited income to help others, tirelessly searching for bargains, always prioritizing others needs before her own. In addition to her generosity, Marie was a talented artist who handcrafted jewelry to gift everyone in the family.
Despite her health challenges, Marie never gave up and bravely pushed forward. We will truly miss her in our lives.
Marie is survived by her siblings; Beri (Greg) Tiffany-Smith, Kimberly (Larry Colopy) Tice, Laurie (Leigh) Watson, David (Candy) Crawford, Lance (Trish) Crawford, Nicole (Troy) Brammer, special nephew Cameron Brammer and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to give special thanks to Marie’s companion and caregiver, Dave Christian.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Clare and Blanche Crawford, and sister Debra Bennett Hoyer.
The family will hold a private celebration of life for Marie.
