Ronald “Joe” Craig, 80, passed away June 15 at ShorePoint Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL. after an extended illness.

He was born September 7,1942 in Glouster, Ohio to Delbert and Ida(Johnson) Craig. Ronald graduated from Mount Vernon Academy in 1960. He proudly served in Vietnam from 1965-1967 in the US Army 101st Airborne Transport Company as an Aviation Electrician. He retired from Rolls-Royce in Mount Vernon in 2006 after 25 years of service. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Robert, Wayne, Ruth Gillett and Irma Calton.
Daughter in law Dianna Craig and grandson Bryant Snyder. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sheila(Sutton) Craig. Children Tim Craig, Terra (Tom)Wynkoop and Trent Craig. Granddaughters Alie (David)Harlan, Audra (Daniel Chapman) Wynkoop, Britney Stuller, Lani Skaggs, Bethney Hays and 5 great children and many nieces and nephews. A grave side service was held June 28 at Memorial Gardens with Pastor Chuck Gadway officiating.
Roberts Funeral Home-Mount Vernon Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
