MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.

Aug. 14

— A deputy was dispatched to Paige Rd. to investigate a non injury accident that had occurred in Apple Valley. The deputy spoke with both parties involved and a report was made. Nothing further at this time.

— Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Cleveland Avenue in Centerburg on a suicidal male individual. Complainant called in stating that her son was threatening suicide by taking a handful of her prescribed anxiety medication. Contact was made with the male individual and was transported by medical squad to the Knox community Hospital where he was “Pink Slipped” mandating a mental evaluation. A report was written for documentation.

— Deputies responded to an address on Schenck Creek Road on a report of a possible violation of a protection order. Contact with the caller was made and a report of the incident taken. Deputies also made contact with the alleged violator who was taken into custody without incident on an outstanding warrant and booked into the Knox County Jail.

— August Knox County Deputies responded to a residence in Centerburg for a disturbance. The Deputies made contact with with the residents involved. A male was voluntarily transported to Knox Community Hospital for evaluation and an incident report was filed.

Aug. 15

— During a traffic stop, a male passenger was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Muskingum County. The passenger was placed under arrest and transported to the Knox County Jail to await extradition.

— Kenyon Campus Safety contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report a suspicious person. Deputies made contact with the individual and while investigating they found that two vehicles had been broken into and property from the vehicles was found inside of the vehicle of the subject in question. Deputies recovered the stolen property and made contact with the victim and returned their property.

— While assisting the Mount Vernon Police Department on a possible overdose, a Knox County Sheriffs Deputy administered one dose of Narcan to the subject. The subject became alert and was transported to the Knox Community Hospital by the Mount Vernon Fire Department.
