MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found 36 defendants guilty after hearings and court trials and hearings were conducted this week in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.
The following cases were brought forward by the Mount Vernon Law Director’s Office.
Aug. 7
Desirae Eckert, 31, of Hopewell, was found guilty of theft.
Henry Castillo, 43, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of disorderly conduct in the presence of EMS personnel.
Tammi Jones, 51, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of violation of a protection order.
Brandon Perez, 19, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of obstructing official business.
Jaclyn Craddock, 38, of Centerburg, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drug of abuse.
Helen Fair, 42, of Coshocton, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drug of abuse.
Michael Brittenham, 36, of Marengo, was found guilty of having physical control of a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drug of abuse.
Steven Russell, 51, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Daniel Drake, 29, of Zanesville, was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Dustin McDowell, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.
Said Osman Farah, 35, of Columbus, was found guilty of operating a vehicle off state
route.
Shon Pyle, 40, of Newark, was found guilty of driving under a FRA suspension and speeding.
Law Director, Robert Broeren, prosecuted the Pyle and Jones cases on behalf of the State of Ohio and City of Mount Vernon.
First Assistant Law Director, Brittany Whitney, prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Aug. 8
Jerry Ingles, 59, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of criminal mischief.
Joey Bolton, 47, of Martinsburg, was found guilty of domestic violence.
Fletcher Potes, 23, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated menacing.
Angela Wagner, 45, of Coshocton, was found guilty of theft.
Joseph Seabolt, 58, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of criminal trespassing.
Emery Kinsinger, 26, of Gambier, was found guilty of animal at large on public roads.
Johnathan Zimelis, 41, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under an OVI/ALS suspension.
Michael Touponce, 63, of Mount Gilead, was found guilty of driving under suspension.
Robert Paulino, 62, of Howard, was found guilty of failing to maintain an assured clear distance.
Joni Wears, 41, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under a license forfeiture suspension.
Mikyla Mcghee, 23, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under an FRA suspension.
Jeremy Sparkman, 40, of Galion, was found guilty of driving under an FRA suspension and operating a vehicle with the number of former owner.
Susan Blubaugh, 67, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of having expired plates on a vehicle.
First Assistant Law Director, Brittany Whitney, prosecuted the Bolton and Potes cases on behalf of the State of Ohio.
Assistant Law Director, Steven Potts, prosecuted the Seabolt, Kinsinger, Wears, McGhee, Sparkman, and Blubaugh cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Law Director, Robert Broeren, prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
Aug. 9
Rachel Jarvis, 42, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a watercraft without a
current registration.
Samual Myrteli, 18, of Danville, was found guilty of driving without a valid license.
Assistant Law Director, Steve Potts, prosecuted these cases on behalf of the State of
Ohio and City of Mount Vernon.
Aug. 11
Laurie Banbury, 61, of Danville, was found guilty of failing to confine a dog and two
counts of failure to register a dog.
Mary Beutel, 73, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of failure to stop after an accident
and failing to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
Justin Stultz, 35, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving without a valid license.
Adam Tanner, 41, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of speeding.
Andrew Simmons, 38, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of failing to have a CDL when required and failure to display a valid registration.
Isaac Kerr, 33, of Mansfield, was found guilty of driving under suspension.
Tony Baucum, 37, of Howard, was found guilty of driving under suspension and failing to maintain an assured clear distance.
Jerrad Ray, 29, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of having expired plates.
Jessica Cruz-Perez, 29, of Columbus, was found guilty of driving under suspension.
