MOUNT VERNON — The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued its road work schedule for this week.
Knox County drivers are advised to use caution on these roads.
State Route 95 culvert replacements – Beginning Monday, August 7, SR 205 will close between for multiple culvert replacements. Estimated completion is Friday, August 11. Estimated schedule and locations included below:
- August 7-8 – Between the Morrow County line and Lucerne Road
- August 9-11 – Between Mishey Road and Knox Lake Road
- U.S. Route 62 culvert replacement – Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 2, U.S. 62 will close between Caves Road and Lepley Road for a culvert replacement. Estimated completion is Friday, August 4. Detour: U.S. 62 to SR 229 to U.S. 36 to U.S. 62 and reverse.
- State Route 3 guardrail upgrades – The project consists of guardrail upgrades/replacements along SR 3 from Mount Vernon corp. limit to the county line.
- New impacts: Motorists can expect signalized or flagged lane closure on SR 3 between Mount Vernon to the county line. Contractor working from the Ashland County line to Mount Vernon.
- U.S. Route 36 resurfacing – The project consists of resurfacing and related work on U.S. 36 between U.S. 62 and the Coshocton County line. Estimated completion is October 2023.
- New impacts: Contractor working on RPM’s and punchlist items.
