Twenty champion exhibitors at the Knox County Fair 2023 sold their animals to a full crowd of bidders on Thursday morning. Approximately $95,800 was collected during the champion’s sale. The final bid of the day centered on the Douglas family, whose son is battling non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. To support the family’s cause, a hog was donated, and the final bid reached $12,000 from The Shoppe on Main and Alumni Roofing Co.
The hog was donated by Brieann Dunaway; processing was donated by Dee-Jays Custom Butchering.
