MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
JULY 20
— A deputy located a stolen vehicle from Mount Vernon and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in Jelloway. A Mount Vernon Police Department Detective arrived at the above location and processed the scene. The vehicle was returned to the owner, the suspect was arrested and charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
JULY 21
— A complainant called to report that he struck a deer with his vehicle. A deputy responded and the complainant advised that he did not need a report but would like the deer to be dispatched. A report was completed for documentation.
— Caller reported an active domestic and someone was on the ground fighting but did not give an address. Upon arrival two sisters had been fighting, one intoxicated. While trying to obtain medical attention for one of the sisters, she became combative and swung at a Deputy. Female was transported to KCH to get medically cleared then transported to the Knox County Jail. Female was charged with Disorderly Conduct Persist and Obstruction of Official Business. A copy of the report will be sent to the City Law Director for review of Domestic Violence and Assault on a Peace Officer.
