MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
JULY 6
— Caller reported a husband and wife were fighting and it was very active. Upon arrival of law enforcement, the wife was arrested for Domestic Violence and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
— Deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of Montgomery Road in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation on the incident. Once the investigation concluded, all involved parties were warned on their conduct and a report was completed for documentation purposes.
— Deputies were dispatched to the 17000 block of Lower Fred-Amity Road in reference to a fraud incident. Upon arrival deputies conducted an investigation and a report was taken for documentation purposes.
— Deputies and Fredericktown Police were dispatched to a residence on Mt. Gilead Road in reference to a disturbance. The complainant said that there was a male on the property and they were refusing to leave. After law enforcement arrived and investigated, the home owner did not want to pursue charges and the male was trespassed from the property.
— Caller called 911 saying her sister was unconscious and unresponsive. Caller believed she overdosed on what her boyfriend died from the day before. EMS arrived and transported the sister to KCH. A report is being done for documentation and a report is being sent to Children Protective Services.
— Caller reported her client made suicidal comments and had been heavily drinking. Upon arrival of law enforcement, the male advised he has drank two pints of vodka in a 4-hour period and admitted to his suicidal comments. The male was pink slipped and transported to KCH by EMS without incident.
— Caller reported an active Domestic at Young’s Locker with shots fired. The female was able to get outside. The male was shooting from the porch and bleeding from the head for unknown reasons. Law enforcement arrived and secured the scene. Male was taken to KCH for medical treatment then transported to the Knox County Jail. Statements were collected and the investigation is on going.
JULY 7
— EMS advised dispatch they found a 5-year-old boy on Vernoview Dr who was riding his bike and lost. The child was treated for a head injury from falling off the bike and returned back to his home. A report is being sent to CPS for review.
— The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted in reference to a custody dispute. Initially, both parties were given advice and it seemed that the situation had been resolved. Later that day, the mother called again stating that the father had not returned the child. Contact was made with the father and the mother came and regained custody of the child. A report was taken for documentation of the incident.
— A driver was passing farm equipment on the left, when the farm equipment signaled to turn left into a field, and the passing vehicle struck the farm equipment. The driver of the passing vehicle was cited.
