MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
JULY 5
— Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Lonzo Lane in Mount Vernon on a runaway juvenile. Deputies arrived in the area and located the juvenile. Deputies spoke with the juvenile prosecutor and juvenile probation. The juvenile was transported to the Muskingum Juvenile Detention Facility for disorderly conduct.
— Caller reported her granddaughter was out of control and was being violent. Granddaughter was arrested for Menacing and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
— Two deputies were dispatched to the location of a rehab/mental health facility on the report of an intoxicated male. The duo responded and while enroute dispatch advised that the male was becoming more out of control.
— Deputies responded to Crystal Ave. in Mount Vernon on a report of an unconscious / unresponsive male. The male was transported to KCH where he was pronounced deceased. The Knox County Coroner’s Office was contacted. This matter is currently under investigation.
— A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Old Mansfield Road on an injured deer in the roadway needing dispatched. The deputy located the animal and dispatched it with his office issued pistol. A report was written for documentation.
— Deputies were dispatched to Newark Road near Tulloss Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival Deputies conducted an investigation and determined that it was a motor vehicle accident without injury, involving a motor vehicle and a deer. A report was taken for documentation purposes.
