Velma P. Carpenter, age 91, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the Country Club Retirement Campus. She was born on June 11, 1932, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the daughter of John and Mabel (Hudson) Miller.
She is survived by her sons; Richard Blamer of Mount Vernon and Gary Blamer of the Philippines; four grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lee Carpenter; a son, John Blamer; siblings, Elva Cornelius, Sylvia Doup, Ellen Tablett, Edna Ormeroid and Eugene Miller.
The family will observe a private burial in Riley Chapel Cemetery. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Velma P. Carpenter.
