Viva A. Zeigler, age 85, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on May 31, 1938, in Gambier, and was the daughter of the late E. Dean and Mabel L. (Fawcett) Billman.
Viva was a longtime member of the Salvation Army Church and the Home League Ladies Fellowship Club at the Salvation Army. She was a former 4-H Advisor, a member of the Sew and Hope Garden Club, along with numerous other local gardens clubs.
She enjoyed sharing a good meal with others, and always kept the door open for everyone. Viva was a classy, loving woman and a mother with good hair!!
Viva is survived by her daughters, Lisa Poole of Akron, and Dana Zeigler of Mount Vernon; a brother, Burl (Martha) Billman of Gambier; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five adopted great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Neil, Gail, Roger, and Darwin Billman, along with a sister Mary Billman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 11:00 – 12:00 Noon at the Salvation Army Church. Where funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon with Capt. Christine Moretz officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, 7740 Grove Church Road, Gambier, Ohio 43022.
