Two people were killed in an ATV accident early Saturday morning in Howard.

UPDATE: The Knox County Sheriff’s Department updated this report with the names of the victims on Sunday at 7:37 a.m.

HOWARD — Two people were killed, including a Howard woman, early Saturday morning after the Alternative Terrain Vehicle they were driving crashed, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

Ethan B. Cook, 24, of West Jefferson, and Miah W. Crowe, 23, of Howard, died as a result of injuries that were received in the crash at 1:15 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The  press release states a 1995 Honda TRX that they were operating drove over a retaining wall on the north side of the Town Center Market, located at 21875 Coshocton Road in Howard.

The Knox County Coroner’s Office is providing assistance and the crash is still under investigation.
