MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Police Department has added to its force.
Alexis Glaub was sworn in Friday to be a new patrol officer by Mount Vernon Law Director Rob Broeren.
Glaub, 27 of Zanesville, is one of three recent hires the department has made. The department is allowed to have 34 officers employed. After Glaub’s hire, two slots remain.
Glaub has been employed in law enforcement for roughly four years, she said.
One of the reason’s Glaub chose Mount Vernon was because she enjoys the downtown atmosphere the city provides. She’s also visited in the past, enjoying the Kokosing Gap Trail.
