MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.

MAY 24

— Deputies arrived at a residence on Everview Drive in Mount Vernon to serve a protection order. Deputies collected two firearms for safekeeping per the protection order. A report was completed for documentation.

— Deputies were dispatched to an active fight between two residents at a residential facility on West Houck Street Centerburg, Ohio 43011. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with both parties and witnesses. Both parties were medically evaluated by EMS. A summons in lieu of arrest was issued to the primary physical aggressor. The victim went to another residence for the evening. Photographs and statements were collected.

MAY 25

— The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Knox County Dog Warden in reference to a female they made contact with that had a warrant. Deputies responded to the residence and arrested the female and transported her to the Knox County Jail.

— Deputies attempted to stop a motorcycle for a speed violation on Coshocton Rd. After activating emergency over head lights, the motorcycle did not stop and fled to a residence. The driver was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail where they were booked on OVI and Failure to Comply (Flee and Elude).

— A report of a male walking on Old Mansfield Rd. near Lower Fredericktown-Amity Rd. who might be under the influence of drugs was made. When officers arrived the male was identified then arrested for a warrant from Richland County. The male was transported to the Knox County Jail.

— A Knox County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with the aid of Mount Vernon Police department after the vehicle’s license plate that came back registered to an individual with a nationwide warrant. The individual was transported to the Knox County Jail to await extradition.

— Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an address on Rangeline Road in reference to three juveniles who were in the area. Deputies made contact with the juveniles and they were transported to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office where they were released to their parents and/or guardians. A report was completed for documentation.

MAY 28

— Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Zuck Road (Danville) in reference to two hand-grenades that were found by a property owner while cleaning out a barn. Columbus Fire Bomb Squad was contacted and responded to the scene and disposed of the grenades.

— A Deputy was dispatched to a residence on Harris Road (Frazeysburg) on a property dispute. Both parties were talked to and some property was exchanged. The two parties were told that the rest of the property in question would need to be handled within the court system. A report was filed to document the incident.

— Deputies were dispatched to Wooster Road in reference to a car in a ditch with its hazards on. The vehicle was located backed into the ditch with no one around. The car was later impounded. A report was taken for documentation.

MAY 29

— A deputy responded to a disturbance in Centerburg. Complainant stated that a male resident had assaulted her. A deputy responded to the facility and collected a statement from the complainant. A report was taken and the male was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Nothing further.

— Deputies were dispatched to Centerburg on a disturbance. Complainant stated that a male had assaulted other residents and a staff member. Pictures were taken of the scene and statements were collected. A report was taken to document the incident.

— Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Lower Fredericktown – Amity Road. The involved parties were advised to remain separated so to prevent further contact and warned on their conduct. Parties were also advised of the eviction process and a report was taken to document the incident.
